About

Desert Community Management

As the owner of DCM its important to us that you understand that we care not just about the association and the corporation that runs it, but the homeowner that is  going through life in today’s times in association living.

I’ve been in the community association business since 1993 and it has grown and changed over the years along with the laws that govern associations in Nevada. What has not changed is that we are all neighbors and although we live in the Las Vegas Valley with more than two million people, we are divided into sections of town in which we live, go to school, work, go to the movies and shop at. Many times this gives us the small town living much like the way we grew up.

Many owners, especially if they have not lived in an association, tend to get what I believe closely relates to culture shock when moving into an association. The documents that owners sign when they purchase look about two feet tall, and just the thought of reading and trying to understand all the information provided can easily be over whelming to a new owner.

We want to provide the Association with professional management service, board members with hands on training and education as required by the Nevada Revised Statues (NRS116). We offer experienced managers to provide administrative duties that board members are allowed to delegate and staff to help the new owner better understand where they now live.

Our managers belong to state and national organizations on which we continue our education and bring back what we learn to our Associations. Community Association Institute (CAI) provides us with designations through education recognized through out the United States. Nevada Association of Community Managers (NACM) helps fill in the gaps between designations and on the job training for managers just learning. All of our managers have a Nevada license.

We offer policy resolutions concerning covenant enforcement and collections of association’s assessments and fees. To keep track of the compliance and collections information including owners list, addresses and vendor information we offer a comprehensive accounting software package that does all of these duties and provides a monthly accrual based accounting reports as required by NRS.

Please consider us for your neighborhood management company and believe that we will always try to do what is right for the association and the homeowners. We welcome your call or email to further discuss association and community management.
